At that time he had been living in Vienna for some time as a composer and keyboard virtuoso. Wolfgang hoped to regain his father’s favour by promising to write a Mass for the archbishop of Salzburg. The orchestral and vocal forces and the proportions of this Grosse Messe in C minor K.427 would have undoubtedly resulted in a monumental missa solemnis\, but sadly it remained unfinished. DESCRIPTION:Volksliederabend Gitarre und Gesang\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDuo Amaris / Jesse Flowers & Julia Spies \nVolkslieder verbinden uns mit den Generationen vor uns. Sie geben uns einen Einblick in die emotionale\, soziale und politische Welt von Menschengemeinschaften\, auf intuitive und bewegende Weise. Wir begeben uns auf die Reise\, vom folkloristischen Ansatz spanischer Lieder bis hin zu den Bearbeitungen deutscher\, englischer und ungarischer und Volkslieder von Johannes Brahms\, Benjamin Britten und Bela Bartók. Das Herzstück des Abends hingegen ist der eigens für das Duo Amaris geschriebene Liedzyklus „Tell them“ (2023) des brasilianischen Komponisten João Luiz Rezende Lopes auf Texte der marshallischen Dichterin Kathy Jetñil-Kijiner. Die Gedichte umkreisen Themen wie kulturelle Zugehörigkeit\, Heimat(verlust) und Weitergabe von Traditionen und treten so mit den Volksliedüberlieferungen des 19. und 20. Jahrhunderts in Dialog.  \nDie Besetzung des Duo Amaris bildet den idealen Grundton dafür: Das \,Volksinstrument‘ Gitarre und die mittlere Frauenstimme interagieren mit allen Formen des Volksliedes – erzählerisch\, lyrisch\, dramatisch\, temperamentvoll\, leise\, einfühlsam\, vielsprachig. \n� \nDas Projekt wurde gefördert durch das Programm „NEUSTART KULTUR Ensembles“ der Beauftragten des Bundes für Kultur und Medien und des Deutschen Musikrates.
